As you know, dynamic ranges are relative to one another. Additional terms have evolved in order to distinguish more specific dynamic variations.
In Italian, “MEZZO” means half. When MEZZO is added to dynamics, it means medium.
MEZZO PIANO = MEDIUM SOFT and is abbreviated-
MEZZO FORTE = MEDIUM LOUD and is abbreviated-
In Italian, the suffix “issimo” means extremely.
When ISSIMO is added as a dynamic suffix, it intensifies the meaning of term.
PIANISSIMO = VERY SOFT and is abbreviated –
FORTISSIMO = VERY LOUD and is abbreviated –

Music performed Presto brings great excitement to the audience.
Presto is an animated tempo, which can create a spirit of exuberance to musical compositions. It is perfectly logical why Presto, (a word that means soon), is utilized.
Presto captures the spirit of anticipation, triggered by extremely rapid speeds.
Earlier the tempo suffix example issimo = to increase a lot, was left incomplete.
When performing at break-neck speeds, musicians must always focus and remain grounded.
 Magicians say “Prest-O-Change-O” seeking to build excitement and bring anticipation to the conclusion of a magic trick. Prest-O-Change-O = Quick Change.
Now we can complete the example – Prestissimo!

Allegro is often teamed together with Moderato, suggesting a more moderate rate of speed, while maintaining the lively character of Allegro.

Just like tempo qualifier words can be added to tempi, composers have added suffixes to tempo root words. (Suffix means an ending) 

The suffix – “etto” serves to lessen the effect of the tempo term. Allegretto is the most commonly utilized variation on the tempo Allegro. Allegretto is still a lively tempo, but is a little slower than Allegro and is similar to Allegro Moderato.

Q asked me to teach the most common TEMPO SUFFIXES. However, he did request that I should wait to share an example for the third suffix, since you are about to learn that new tempo any moment now.
